The 3DS was mistakenly advertised as having two circle pads at a HMV store. The branch based in cardiff has apparently been using promotional banners that are littered with mistakes to advertise the 3DS XL.

The poster features a 3DS XL with a second circle pad where the D-Pad would be and a larger telescopic stylus.

Though isn't there also likely going to be a real 3DS launched soon with two circle pads? Since they have an attachment (the Circle Pad Pro) to grant a second circle pad anyway. (And games like MGS3: Snake Eater use the second pad to control the camera much like how they did when they were on PS2. ) So maybe this isn't really a mistake so much as an accidental revealing of a future 3DS model?

I think Nintendo said the XL will be the last new model for awhile. But things could change the 3DS lite could be here next year.

It probably would be best to give up on the fabeled 3DS lite, since it will only bring more disappointment when they never make it.
