A man who was involved in security training for the Olympics has said that there is a 50% chance that a deadly weapon will get into the Olympic Games.

This is quite shocking to be honest and quite a high number, I really think at the moment they need to be stepping up security a hell of alot than they already are.

The whole security for the games is a big joke G4S are being paid £280 million to supply 10,000 security staff and they can't deliver hence the Armed forces are stepping in.
Bet they don't refund any of that money.
The tax payer is yet again being taken for a mug.

There is a 50/50 chance of something happening at the games. So something will happen or won't. If something will happen they can't stop it.

Chances are too high still, so they still need to prevent it no?

They definitely need to prevent it, there are going to be too many people there for anything to happen to be honest and if anything did happen it would be a major disaster.

They have 2 weeks now to get things straightened out and make sure they have plenty of security and such for the games.

You need to remember that G4S formally G4 were used to transport prisoners, they lost a fair few.
Then G4 merged with Securicor to form G4S they took over the running of Birmingham prison (just up the road from me)
and managed to lose the keys that opened every door in the prison.
Now they have messed up yet again so how can we feel safe with them supplying security.

When you put it like that, that is very worrying. Sure hope they get it straightened out to be honest as this is not good reputation.

Well they are prepared for a major strike, they built misses on top of neighboring houses in london.

But I feel they can only prevent small things, anything major happens the best they can do is stop it before too much is done.

It was on the news last night that most days turnout for security is a mere 40% of what G4S promised, it's a disgrace. I daresay, getting a deadly weapon into the Olympic grounds will be relatively easy at that rate of security.

I agree, it's not great at all. They want the opening of the games to go off with a bang, it certainly could do if they don't get security sorted out. Having to bring in troops to sort out the mess of the security is ridiculous.

I think they've blown it way out of context.
