It seems that Tony Blair still had options before making the decision to invade Iraq when he did which cost the lives of 179 men and women between 2003 and 2009

A seven year wait for a report that cost millions to produce and said pretty much what we knew already.

Blair probably thought he could follow Margret Thatchers example that by having a little war he could keep in power for longer. Well - that didn't work out quite as he expected.
He might face a tribunal one day, but like the Hillsborough affair, probably not for another twenty years.
