Which do you find worse? Cold feet or cold hands?

I myself find that I hate having cold feet more than I do cold hands to be honest, it's alot easier to warm your hands up than it is your feet once they are cold.

I also think the cold feet is worst since it was really easier to keep hands warm.
Could hardly sleep at night with cold feet.

I agree with the rest of you, cold feet are the worst. You can rub your hands together and warm them up.

I have really bad circulation these days because of the diabetes, so my lower legs and feet are permanently cold from mid autumn until mid/late spring, so are my hands and lower arms. I hate the cold feet the most though, I find I can't sleep until I get them warm...

I am sorry to hear that Sandy, that can't be nice at all :(

I know the feeling on the cold feet thing though when sleeping, had it happen to me the other night I had been up on the laptop for a while without anything on my feet and my feet had got cold, took me a while to get them warm while I was in bed and despite the fact I kept drifting off I would still wake feeling cold because my feet where.

It's a nuisance eh.. I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet and lower legs too which in plain terms is nerve damage, so I've lost a lot of the feeling in both feet, so when I do get cold feet (I only know after feeling them) I have to be pretty careful how I get them warm because I can't feel if they're getting burned or not. If I use a hot water bottle, I make sure the waters only warm and wrap the hot water bottle in a thick towel and keep checking the feet aren't too warm.

I have to be careful because either way I could lose my feet, too cold I get frost bite, too hot and I burn and cop an infection, having diabetes means the immune systems down too, so even a tiny infection has to be caught fast and treated with antibiotics before the infection absesses, or worse.

I have to be careful if I use the electric blanket in bed too, I may feel warm, but I don't know if my feet are or not, it's really awkward trying to check the feet in bed on a cold night and stay warm, lol...

Yeah, I remember reading up on diabetes myself after I found out that my Grandma had it a few a few years back and knowing that it can run in the family and I remember reading this.

Must be a right nuisance for you, is it something that comes naturally for you to check rather than sort of thinking that you had best check?

I think it runs in the family a bit, it does in my family anyway. My mother got type 2 when she got her secondary cancer, I think her Dad had it, my 30 year old niece has had diabetes for about 8 years now, I've had it for six and a half years..

It was hard getting into the habit of checking the feet though, it wasn't until my Doctor said I had what looked like a bit of a scald mark on one foot I started checking and trying to remember to check, then it took a couple of months or so to get into a habit of checking...

Cold hands, I always wash it in warm water and see if that helps. But some people say you can develop skin problems by that. I don't understand that at all :/

I voted for cold feet but I hate when hands are so cold you can't zipper your jacket.

Having cold feet! But I think having cold legs is worse than cold feet and cold hands.
I seldom have cold feet and cold hands, but when I sit too long posting on the computer, my legs become ice cold.
