Either this guy had a death wish or he really just did not have a clue what danger he was getting himself into.

A guy had to be escorted off the hard shoulder on the M1 by police who have branded him a 'dummy' for riding a push bike down the M1.

I would not dare ride down a motorway on a push bike, crazy guy!

I hate when bikes are on any road! If it don't have a motor then it don't belong on the road.

Too bad we don't have the same laws here, they've all but given our roads to people on bicycles. They have lanes marked out and yet they still like to crowd the cars. It's all just plain silly and more liberalism that garnered another vote for some idiot that voted for it. I can vouch there are much fewer bicyclist riding to work on a bicycle than people paying this outrageous gas tax and road tax just so these people can slow traffic. I don't have anything against people that ride bikes but they really don't belong on the highways and heavy traveled roads that people use daily. It's a matter of commerce and intelligence, which seems to be lacking here in the USA as of lately. I'll complain some other time about this stupid train they placed downtown Houston, it's worthless beyond description and makes no money but cost millions to keep it running and blocking traffic and endangering lives simply by having it downtown. It has already had numerous accidents running over cars at intersections, just dumfounding to think these people can dream up this stuff.

Over here they have to as they do not allow you to ride on the footpath as it is a danger to pedestrians. Even kids get asked to get off their bike and walk with it if they are in a public place where they could cause danger when riding it.

Cycling on the pavement is very rarely dealt with as it is an offence.

      Q.
Are children allowed to cycle on pavements?
      A.
Whilst there is no exemption to this law for children, the police have always used common sense and discretion in exercising their powers over children cycling on the pavement. Very young children should not be expected to cycle on the road and we would not recommend any child does so until they have received cycle training. Children under the age of 10 are below the age of criminal responsibility, hence they cannot be prosecuted for criminal offences.Enforcement of cycling on pavements is usually dealt with by a fixed penalty notice, which cannot be issued to anyone under the age of 16.

In most states in the USA you must ride in the road. In fact guys, paved roads were invented for bicycles, not cars. Cars came later on. I have been an avid cyclist since I was 10.
