Former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has been arrested as part of the police probe set up in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal, the BBC understands.
Police said a man in his 60s from Bedfordshire was being held on suspicion of sexual offences.
The Met said their investigation into alleged abuse by Savile and others - Operation Yewtree - had so far recorded 200 allegations of sexual assault.
They have now identified about 450 potential victims of sexual abuse.
The arrest of Mr Travis, 67, is the fourth so far in connection with the Savile investigation

It's absolutely disgusting how many are now being arrested in connection with this. It makes you wonder how many more there will be and why nothing more was done to stop it in the first place.

I still reckon there is a lot of Band Wagon jumping going on.
I agree some are guilty but also believe a lot of people are just looking for easy money.

I agree it is. I read last night that they had bailed him to appear at court in January 2013.

I agree with you APS their all after a easy pay off.
The person that started this is dead he cant say anything of what went off what happened to the saying innocent till proven guilty it cant happen.
One women said while Jimmy was alive she was scared to say anything I just cant get my head round that.

I agree, I mean I understand that something may have been said to women to frighten them about saying anything but once you are not around him anymore what was there to stop them from saying anything. Saying that though because he was such a popular public figure maybe they thought they wouldn't be believed as many have already said.
