Firefox 10 was launched yesterday for tablets, PC's and Android. There has been changes made to Firefox in the new release including the hiding of the forward button until a user clicks back on the browser. It will also introduce new tools which will help users modify their websites in real time.

Do you have the new firefox 10 yet? If so what are your thoughts?

I've heard that it's faster although I have not tried it out yet.
The popup installer for FireFox will not work since Chrome was set as my default web browser,

I'll have to open FF sometime for a popup to appear when I'm ready to install, heehee.. I'm not going to visit their website just to download it.

      FF4 wasn't too far away from FF6, heehee... ;)
      Yes. It's not just you..
I've heard it's an improvement with speed although it's still not faster than Chrome. Have not tried it out yet, :coffee:

I agree with you, it is pointless if you think back to all the releases they have I bet they wouldn't even be halfway to 10 yet. Would seem much more appropriate to fix bugs and send out small updates as many others do rather than sending out a huge update and changing the number.

They only do it to compete with other browsers

That's true, there are so many browsers now that they are all in so much competition with one another now. I think regular updates are better rather than updating so much at once and updating the number though, in the end it's how well the browser works and what they have to offer I feel.

I downloaded FF for Windows X64 but it came up with error "File ***** missing" so I found file and downloaded it placed it where they said but still wouldn't work.

Not too good for them then if they are releasing with files missing.

Any really big major changes that made it worth updating or basically just the same?
