I got the idea to make this delicious salad from Nancy Girard, whose an amazing cook. Be sure to go easy on the salad dressing though, as a little bit surely goes a long way. This is such a pretty salad!!

      Fruity Tossed Salad
      Fresh leafy salad greens
      Sliced fresh strawberries
Canned pineapple chunks, or tidbits, well drained
      Mandarin oranges, well drained
      Fresh blueberries
Pecan halves, or chopped pecans, optional
Kraft Creamy Poppy Seed Salad Dressing
Arrange salad greens among salad plates.
Top greens with fruit and nuts.
Lightly drizzle the poppy seed dressing over the salads.
Note: Be sure to go easy on the salad dressing though, as a little bit surely goes a long way.

Shortie, I enjoy fresh fruit on my lettuce or spinach salads. They add so much, and makes the salads taste quite refreshing. Never had fresh fruit on a salad not til at least 2 years ago, and now I'm hooked on salads that have some sort of fruit in them. Also, it's a nice change from the ordinary lettuce/spinach salads with cucumbers and tomatoes.

I can imagine it would give it a more sweet taste :). I may have to try this at some point as my son who is 4 years old loves fruit but doesn't like salad and will not touch it. Maybe if I added the fruit in he may give it a try.
