What are your thoughts on gun licenses? Do you feel they can be got too easily?

I myself feel that it is a good idea that they enforce you have a gun license before you can have a gun however I do feel that gun licenses can be got too easily for many people which leads to alot of misuse of guns.

Are they not? I had heard in the past that many thought they where and also that many just had to show photo ID, fill in a form and they where on there way. Unless it has changed or is different in other Countries.

I don't think guns should be allowed full stop, there was a bunch of guys outside my house yesterday who were going into the fields around my house to shoot birds and stuff. They looked like huge idiots thinking they were heard with their little guns.

I hear ya, it is discusting to be honest, I personally don't think anyone is hard who owns a gun to be honest especially not if they own it just for that purpose.

You see, if you have a license and misuse the gun, it can all be tracked back to you.
I know a couple of people with licenses ( 1 family member, etc.. ) and I'm planning to have one in the future, ;)

If your talking about the UK then they need permissions from the land owner to be able to shoot on the land.
So assuming they have Licences they still can't shoot where ever they like.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I think that guns should really only be owned by authority figures, as people obtain guns too easily and innocent people get killed.
