I do workout regularly and usually go to a gym... very often in fact because I like to keep myself fit and in shape. I exercise everyday too on a machine of sort, and on a treadmill.

I can't bear the thought of going to a gym. I work out at home nobody needs to see my hot, sweaty body.

We have a gym just near me but I am not the kind of person to want to use a gym to be honest, I would rather buy equipment I can use at home and do it at home instead.

I did have a gym membership a couple of years ago. It became too much money to spend on this when I have equipment that I could utilize at home. I did good for about a month, but I couldn't keep up the pace of going to work, stopping at the gym and going home to do another job. I would much rather exercise at home anyway, so it all worked out.

Does a home gym count? I have a squat rack and a full lat pulldown maching, seated row and all that. I get in there 3 times a week or so depending on how my back is doing. I have an abnormal commute to work and my back suffers for it. I do find it a major stress reliever when I am banging away down there.

A Gym is Gym so even if it's at home still counts :)

Yep agreed. I mean, many people set up one at home & it works perfectly fine for them. I don't see it as a problem.

I don't feel comfortable in gyms as so many of the gyms in my city are full of posers who are all about wearing the newest clothes and caking on make up ... to work out. There are some that are known for being "meat markets" or pick up spots. I prefer going for runs around the neighbourhood as I get to see new things everyday and get fresh air too. To tone up I do pilates and jump rope in the privacy of my own home. :) I also hate how gyms tend to be so crowded and you have to wait to use popular machines.

My dad has a gym membership which costs him weekly but he only goes once a month or so. I kind of think this is a waste of money and one way gyms gain a bulk of their profit. Not by people using their facilities but by those who don't and still pay anyway.;) Gyms are worth it for some people however, it just depends on the individual, what makes them comfortable and their level of dedication.

Awesome. I am just getting back from vacation and need to get back on track. I think I need to add some Yoga or something, my hamstrings are really tight from all this sitting and commuting.

I go to a gym. I prefer the gym because think going to the Gym is better than working out at home, for me anyway, its to easy to say "I will work out later, with a home gym or home workout routine" if i am making the effort to get up and drive to the gym, which I pay for, I definitely make sure I get my moneys worth.

I see what you did there, lol

I rather go running outside and use some home equipment, gyms are too crowded and i prefer some privacy

I don't go to a gym either. I have an elliptical trainer at home. I use my WiiFit Plus. I'm basically a loner at heart.
