Which Japanese foods you fancy and why? i love the tempura, the Terriyaki chicken/fish/beef and some others like: seaweed salads and of course, the most famous Sushis. Miam! A delight.

I can't say myself that I have ever tried any kind of Japanese dishes to be honest not that I know of.

I think if I where to try them the one I would probably avoid would be Sushi, just doesn't appeal to me.

Most hearty for you eh, Shortie Dearest? They might appeal to some people, and some others can't stand them I'd suppose and thats okay with me. For me, they're divine.

Terriyaki isn't really Japanese food, it's like sesame chicken being Chinese.

Sushi is always great and I can nom on it forever. I like the one with the sliced shrimp on top and the ones with natto in it.

Sukiyaki is always great and is more of a family or group meal than something you eat on your own.

The same goes for yakiniku, but going to those "Japanese" grills and watching a Filipino or Mexican chef flip meat around and doing knife tricks on a grill is silly and overpriced.

Is it a sushi or not? Or is it something else altogether?

Pretty pricey too... to get them at the Sushi shops and etc. would cost around 10-15 dollars a box of them.

I only eat the grilled salmon at Chinese buffets since I get to eat as much as I want for much less than $10-15

I've never seen bento boxes or onigiri at Chinese buffets, I was just talking about the grilled salmon sushi.
