Do we have any Chat Addicts that have in the past knitted or still do?

When I was younger I became interested in knitting and I used to have my own little knitting set that I got for Christmas one year with small needles for my size :) I never really knitted anything great but I used to love knitting and creating cool things myself that was really fun. I would have loved to do more and learn how to knit jumpers and such though.

My mother used to finish dinner and washing up at night then sit in front of the TV and knit away.
I always wondered how she could knit and watch TV at same time but she said it was easy.

My mum used to do that, I always remember that she used to finish cleaning and the such and sit down with a drink and knit whilst watching TV :) I always wondered how she did it but when I started knitting I used to sit and do it in bed whilst watching the TV :)

My mum used to do this and still does sometimes :) a few years ago she knitted my daughter a cardigan which looks lovely :) I do think this is something I could go back to if I wished to.

It would depend on your attention span I guess :) if you are someone that tends to have a hobby in other things and you choose to try knitting it can depend on how interested you really are in doing it as to whether you would enjoy it.

I haven't done it in a while but when I do, I enjoy it and find it relaxing :)

I can't handmake stuff. XDDD Let alone knit. XDD So, self-made blankets must be real nice-looking and warm.

I've always wanted to learn how to knit but haven't got round to it. I know a lot of people through the theatre who knit backstage to kill time. I'd love to be able to knit scarves, jumpers and cardigans. :) I don't think knittings is aneasy hobby to pick up though. Perhaps I can get someone to teach me.

The idea of knitting a patchwork knitted quilt appeals too. I also brought a knitted style slouch bag once that I thrashed and needs replacing. It's amazing what you can knit. Some people can knit childrens toys too.

Some of my friends do still knit for their boyfriends mostly, LOL~ I personally for one never really tried knitting. I suppose it is just not my thing, to sit like a good child for so long and work on knitting slowly, one by one, as you can't tolerate mistakes. I do think people who can do so are very skillful and must be very patient too. :p
