Saw this floating around Facebook today also. I have to admit she does have a point in saying that parents should be rationing their treats for their kids over Halloween as so many seem not to. I myself usually buy my kids a few treats for Halloween and they will get a few here and there but I never let them go over the top.

When I went trick or treating I didn't come home till my large bucket was full of candy. But I made that last for months. Kids don't need to be eating it in one go.

I agree, I can never understand why so many parents do not take the candy and let them have it as and when for a treat. I remember friends I used to have at school and it was not just at Halloween but also at Christmas and Easter. Anything they used to get chocolate or candy wise their parents would just let them help themselves to it when they wanted it. My mum was always strict with anything like that and we could have so much when she said. Does not make me wonder why many of my friends now have many problems with their teeth even at an older age.

Sorry but if I took my kids trick or treating and someone gave my kid a letter telling them they were overweight I would punch that person in the mouth.
