I was watching this last night after in happened on the news and since waking up this morning I did not expect this kind of death toll or the kind of damage that there is. It's heart breaking just watching how bad the damage is.

Parents have been filmed finding their children and families and the reaction brought tears to my eyes.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in this tragedy.

I'm kind of late to this topic, but seeing the wreckage, it was pretty brutal and terrible for those children and families.

      Entire neighborhoods vanished.

I agree, it was an awful looking tornado and certainly looked fierce. Really feel for those who suffered in this and for those who lost their lives. It is really nice though to see pets coming out alive.

Tornado is one of the most devastating natural disasters. Unfortunately Oklahoma often suffers from tornado, people who live there are always at risk.

I agree, it is such a shame to see them suffer each year from these deadly tornadoes.

You really have to be close to one of these to feel the real fear, they spin so fast they leave a vapor trail as they go back into the clouds. They don't have to be monster storms to kill or do damage, just a small water spout off the gulf of Mexico is enough to destroy cars and homes. I've been on the outer edge of one large one and it was so close to the ground you couldn't see a funnel cloud, you could hear the noise and see all the debris twirling around, very scary not knowing which way to run. After this one was over the farm I worked on looked like a war zone, all the trees had been totally topped and it looked like a no mans land. A small crop dusting business was leasing land on the farm to run their operations and the husband and wife ran out to a steel garbage dumpster and hid behind it, but both of the crop dusting planes were picked up and thrown over a fence nearby and landed upside down. Even today we have very unstable weather where I live, storms all around me now and already rained heavily earlier.

I know what you mean. I have never been close to anything like this as we really do not get anything like this ourselves here where I live in the UK however I have watched live streams of things like this and it is amazing the amount of damage they do even before they reach the area due to the high winds that cause the damage.
