Anyone here program as a hobby?

I try to create some basic programs/apps when I get a chance.
I focus on mobile apps and am trying to make my own game.

I have taken a look into doing this but never got around to trying it, I can imagine it would be alot of fun to do.

i am going to school for engineering and i have learned a few programming languages as apart of the curriculum,
its good stuff, and im still trying to learn other languages outside of school, once you learn 1, learning another is easier because they all focus on the same concepts,

i think JAVA is a great language to learn for beginners

It's not really a hobby for me, as I am quite obsessed with programming.
I am pursuing my masters, in computer science. So, I just love programming.
Too bad my university, doesn't really pay much attention and they want us to excel in everything.

Half of the time, I don't know, why I have to learn principles of Industrial engineering, soft computing(it's a bit okay though), TV engineering...whatnot :(

I wish I could, programmers make hand over fist in money and are in demand. Sadly I couldn't program to save my life.

I personally couldn't. I work as a programmer - so, when I get home from work, the absolute last thing I feel like doing is more programming.

I'm stuck doing some java programming at school right now, debugging it and reading endless lines is a complete pain. I understand not even wanting to touch it on your off hours.

BASIC is the only programming language that I have any proficiency with, having used it on my old Atari 800XL back in the 1980's.
I still dabble a bit using yabasic.de a version for the PC, though Basic is now pretty much a dead language and has little practical use anymore.
I can usually muddle my way through HTML when I need it, usually for a program patch like adding a banner or inserting some text.
