I find this a bit worrying.

Yeah that is a bit worrying, surely there is enough violence at the moment in this country without adding to it in a way like this, they say "whatever force necessary" what is to say that the force used was necessary or even that the person the force was used upon was done for the right reasons?

Wait a min a few years a man was sent to jail for defending his home because he shot a burglar but if this new laws come out he could have got away with it .
But I think defending your home you should not hurt the burglar with a weapon as it is wrong in my mind

Seems that way which I feel is all wrong in my book especially for defending a home, there are other ways to defend your home without using such force, I feel citizens arrest is as far as it should go with minor violence.

I think if the burglar comes armed with a weapon then he gets what he deserves.
If he is unarmed then why should you be allowed to use a weapon such as a knife.

Good point there as if the burglar has weapon then yes you will need to defend yourself in a big way but using force such as to kill the burglar which I feel is what is being stated in the news article "whatever force necessary"

Injuring the burglar to defend yourself if the burglar has a weapon is how far I feel it should go.

Mind you if some one tries to break into my house they will have my dog to deal with
The burglar would not get pass the front door as Fly would have him down on the floor given me the time to call the police
