Robbie Williams will reportedly not have his new single played on Radio One because the singer is said to be 'too old' for the young audience.

This is Robbie Williams new single

What are your thoughts about it not being played on Radio One because the singer is supposedly too old?

The BBC have done this for years as artists get older.

I have to agree it's not. It's like saying that because a singer has aged they are not relevant to the youngsters. I was brought up on the likes of Barry Manilow, Carpenters, Gene Pitney and such and I think it's great for youngsters to listen to all kinds of singers no matter what their age.

Whaaaat?! That's ridiculous actually...I love Robbie(I'm 28)...have done since I was a teenager...my Dad loves Robbie too and he's nearing 50! And my 14 year old step son likes him...

I'm pretty sure Robbie has a similar audience to that of my family nationally!

I agree, with him being in such a big successful band back in the 90's he is sure to have alot of fans that are above teens who where fans of take that and also a fan of him when he went solo.

Back in the 60's the BBC banned quite a few records from being played because they thought them to risky.
No body thinks twice about it now :)
