I don't have many plug-ins and keep those I have up to date.

One way to find out which plug in is causing problem, next time it pops up hit stop plugin and go into plugins and see which one it stopped.

      Thanks APS.
The computer did a whole bunch of updates yesterday and the problem seems to have (fingers crossed) simply gone away.

A lot of the time it's best to keep your software and Windows installation up-to-date. It also helps to run things like CCleaner from time to time to clean out the junk from your system which can help programs perform better. :)

I've never had that problem with Firefox. Of course, my hubby always keeps things running smoothly on the computer anyway.

I don' have any problems with Firefox, However Chrome is far better than Firefox. Always close other applications and never allow anything to start.

I was having problems for awhile, so I did some looking and realized that firefox is a 32 bit app which won't work the best on a 64 bit OS. So I did find Waterfox, its a fan made version of firefox and seems to run better for me.
