When I was young Shops didn't open on Sundays or Wednesday Afternoons.
We had 3 television channels in Black & White.
If you wanted to talk to your friends you called at their houses (nobody had heard of mobile phones)
Your cot was painted with paint containing lead.
You drank water from a hose pipe or fountain along with everyone else.
Fish & Chips came in newspaper.
If you fell over you got up and carried on,you didn't rush to sue someone.
All in all we had fun and we're still here to prove it :)

yep and for a penny you could get 4 gobstoppers or 4 fruit salad sweets
if you get pocket money it was about 10pence and it went a long way
there were no games Console but kids went out to play in the sun, rain even in the snow
we knew how to have fun not like kids today

You felt a lot safer when you were out in those days.

Well I am not old enough to remember some of the things mentioned but they all sound very sweet and like better times.

Lots more violence in schools nowadays, I don't think my high school was very violent and scared of how kids nowadays video tape fights for fun. Dreading the day my kids start school.
