Today is the day when US Congress will consider using military action in Syria. It is being said that Syria is warning the US to 'expect everything' if they choose to agree to military action.

      Source: Sky News

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would be right for the US to take military action?

Only the talking begins, they have to vote on carrying forward the discussion and this could take a week or more even if they wanted to vote. Everything is done procedurally just like Parliament, so don't expect anything to happen any time soon. There is a 10 to 1 favoring NO to any action, if the kenyan goes cowboy he most likely could face impeachment. I don't think he wants to do that since he has a lot of liberals mad and not going along with this. There is too much at stake and not enough evidence that this was not done by another player.

Okay, so 91% of the Americans themselves are saying no to the attack. If Obama's out of office as you wish/say, who's gonna lead the USA? & What's America gonna do if they don't agree to "hand over the weapons"? Starting a war with Syria & Russia, which could lead to WWIII, which isn't exactly smart from the American prez's part.

No one ask for them to be turned over, the only concern is if they fall into the hands of radical muslims and could be used against the US or Israel, then you would see the US take action, but with what we have for leadership all bets are off I'm afraid. If Syria remains as it is now with the same leadership it is at the very least stable and there is no danger that those weapons would be used. This is why so many are angry at the kenyan for stirring up trouble and making threats when there is no clear objective. We have no friends in Syria, there is no need to be involved there and frankly the more they kill of one another our children and grand children will not have to fight at another time. If they were using chemical weapons against Israel there would be nothing but a smoking hole where Syria once resided, Israel will probably respond with low yield small nuclear weapons to counter an attack like that, most likely the only way they would use nukes is to be attacked by chemical weapons, same here, in the first gulf war the Iraqis were told up front they would be nuked if they used chemical weapons. This is just a small scale incident where children were killed in this attack, it seems more to me to be a ruse to draw us into this conflict, the ones most likely that would have used them is the muslim extremist, they don't mind using women and children as shields or sacrifices, it is part of their mindset and being radicals, you don't deal with people like this you kill them. We'll see what happens in the next week but for all practical purposes this is a dead horse already.. They need to focus on Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, that cannot be allowed because these people are crazy, not the population of Iran but those idiot mullahs who are strangling their country. All of the mid east has been turned upside down because of Iran, it would be peaceful there if it were not for Iran. Syria means nothing !

Lol, I shall correct you on this if I may: the MidEast would be peaceful without oil.

The Middle East hasn't been really peaceful for centuries, so I don't think oil is the cause.

Actually Iran is the major player behind the Syrian regime, they are co partners, Israel is the lone country in the region that is Democratic. So tonight he says Russia and Syria will get together and Syria will hand over the chemical weapons stockpiles :) this guy is crazy as a peach orchard Boar, he says one thing one day and something entirely different the next, a habitual liar just like I've called him for 6 years.

The middle east will always be locked in a endless bloody war till they are all wipe off from the face of the planet. If there wasn't any oil there no one would be stepping in doing a thing to them.
