No! I can play all of my favourite retro games straight from my desktop.

I do it regularly, i have emulators also but there is nothing better than playing old games on their original consoles.

I like emulators, but I don't find them as good as the original system on a big tv.

No, I am also not into gaming a lot.
And would just play retro games or any other types of games I could play free online. I do not really spend money for games.

Absolutely, as long as the price is within reason, it works and I can find the games I want. Otherwise I'll just use the download services on the later consoles, such as PSN, XBLA and VC.

I try to avoid emulation whenever I can, but sometimes it near impossible to play some of the older console games without it.

I would yes as long as the console I wished to purchase wasn't too pricey and was within a good price range. I don't think retro gaming is as great as what gaming is now however it is always fun to go back to older consoles for old time memories.

True! But they're a good alternative if you don't have the console or the handheld, that's for sure.

I remembered when I used the GameBoy emulator. Loved it!

No because I already have a DS Lite, a Gamecube, and a N64. The Wii shop channel lets you buy most of the retro games as well. And I don't care for non nintendo consoles.

I would love to have the older consoles. Something akin to having a gaming museum in my house and have them playable as well.

Yes I'd buy some of the older consoles. I have no need to though as I can play most retro games on the internet.

      YES!

We just got a NES and I feel so excited it included some games and among those were Rygar, my absolute childhood favourite and the original Mario Bros. among some others. It is great. I thought I'd have to re-adapt to the NES control, but it is as if that almost 20 years gap and the grown size of my hands didn't happen. It fee;s as natural to me. I am so happy. =3

      I'd totally buy a retro console now. Though I wouldn't buy a PS1 since I have a PS2 and 3, but I would buy a Genesis or NES.

I would definitely buy a console that would allow me to play Qbert and Zaxxon on my TV without too much effort. Now, I do know that Zaxxon is available through some SEGA game as an unlockable, but that would be some effort as I have to do something to get to it.

No one has released a current gen version of Qbert, so I'm still longing for that. I don't want to play on the PC because I don't want more hours at a PC, so I would get a new 2600 and I wish that I bought one of the ones they were selling as a reboot about ten years ago.

Outside of that, the XBox has a Game Room with a lot of retro games that I enjoy playing and buying games for.
